Even as her hunger grows for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Ethiopian runner Genzebe Dibaba has already been feasting. Over the course of 2015, she set two world records; captured gold and bronze medals at the International Association of Athletics Federation’s World Championships; and received the honorary title of the IAAF 2015 “World Athlete of the Year.” In February of this year, she also broke the world record for the indoor mile at the IAAF World Indoor Tour in Stockholm. Congratulations, Genzebe! We look forward to much more excitement in Rio this summer.
